David Hockemeyer I happen to agree with your last post Eric. You guys are very interesting. Everyone thinks this death was a terrible tragedy. I don't know anyone who wished this had happened. I have kids, I feel terrible for the family. But I'll just say this. Since we are Monday morning quarterbacking, Why didn't Trayvon just walk away, and say hey man I'm just walking to my Dad's house. Keep moving. But no, he winds up on top of Zimmerman, bashing Zimmerman's head into the ground. It's called self defense. You guys are obviously not happy with the trial, but they have spoken so move on for Christ's sake.

Gereg Jones Muller Eric, dear friend, we'll never know just innocent he was that night. That's part of the tragedy of his death. All we'll know beyond the shadow of a doubt (IMNTFHO) is that Zimmerman was unqualified to carry a firearm, and did not, in fact, tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about whatever went down.
I'm not thinking of the victim's posts - although those don't make me want to hang with the guy - but hadn't he also been suspended from school for violent behaviour? There are so few innocents in this world, Eric; I don't get the impression the Martin lad was one of them.
Which still doesn't mean I think he deserved to get shot; or that Zimmerman deserved to get off. His incompetence to handle a weapon safely earns him a manslaughter conviction in my private court. Whatever suspicions I may have beyond that, no living witnesses seem to have emerged to verify or disprove them.
